Mansuriya Gas Field: Powering Iraq’s Future
The Mansuriya Gas Field, with 4.5 TCF of natural gas, is one of Iraq’s largest reserves. Located 100 km northeast of Baghdad, it is vital for Iraq’s energy independence.

Petro Iraq: The Developer Behind Mansuriya Gas Field
April 2021 Petro Iraq was one of eight companies invited to the Mansuriya licensing bid round.
April 2024 Iraq's Cabinet ratified the award of the Mansuriya field to Petro Iraq and its operating joint venture partner, China's Jereh Group. Cabinet also approved the initial 3 year investment budget of $992mn.
October 2024 Petro Iraq signed the final Development and Production Contract (DPC) for the Mansuriya contract area with Midland Oil Company of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
December 2024 DPC made effective and operations commence.
