Sustainable Energy Operations

Petro Iraq is committed to responsible and efficient energy production, unlocking Iraq’s vast natural gas potential to fuel long-term growth, stability, and global energy security.

Mansuriya Gas Field

Unlocking Iraq’s Energy Potential: A Field with Historic and Strategic Significance
The Mansuriya field is located in Diyala governorate in Iraq and is ~ 100km north-east of Baghdad and south-west of the Hamrin Lake.
Discovered in 1977, the field has been mapped by 2D seismic and appraised with drilling of 4 wells, 3 of which showed a significant hydrocarbon column.
The reservoir is an elongated anticline structure around 25km long, 6km wide and 60m thick at ~ 1100m sub-surface.

The estimated OGIP is 4-4.5 TCF.
Petro Iraq and Jereh Joint Venture has a 49% Participating Interest and Midland Oil Company of the Ministry of Oil holds a 51% interest.

The approved investment budget for the initial 3 year period is $992mn.

Development Plans

Petro Iraq’s development plan is focused on optimizing the Mansuriya Gas Field to achieve sustainable production growth. To learn more about the key milestones and strategies behind each phase, explore the details of Phase I and Phase II below.

Phase I: Initial Development and Optimization

In Phase I, the focus is on establishing a solid production foundation while gathering crucial data for the next phase of development. The goal is to achieve production of 100-130 MMSCFPD (Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day) of gas and 11 KBCPD (Thousand Barrels per Day) of condensate by utilizing three of the four existing wells and drilling additional wells within the first two years.
Production Target

Achieve 100-130 MMSCFPD of gas and 11 KBCPD of condensate using 3 existing wells and new wells.

Well Utilization

Utilize 3 of the 4 existing wells while drilling additional wells for further reservoir data.

Appraisal and Delineation Wells

Drill new wells to gather critical reservoir data for better field assessment.

Optimization for Phase II

Use Phase I data to refine and optimize development for Phase II production.

Phase II: Expansion and Peak Production

Phase II focuses on ramping up production to its peak potential, including the drilling of additional wells and the expansion of processing facilities. With a goal to reach 350 MMSCFPD of gas and over 30 KBCPD of condensate within five years, this phase will significantly increase Petro Iraq’s production capacity and contribute to Iraq’s long-term energy needs.
Peak Production Target

Reach 350 MMSCFPD of gas within 5 years, with significant condensate production.

Well Drilling

Drill additional wells to enhance production capacity and reservoir data.

Central Processing Expansion

Expand the central processing facilities to support increased production and processing.

Sales Gas and Condensate

Achieve 300 MMSCFPD of sales gas and over 30 KBCPD of sales condensate.
